When I turned forty, everything suddenly started to shake. The realization that I was as many years away from my sixtieth as my twentieth birthday… although I associated myself more with the younger group than with the older group of course…
It made me wonder what I had achieved so far and what else I wanted to experience in life. Was it time to try to have a child of my own? Or was it something else I wanted to create? Many conversations and books later, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to start my own company.
I wanted to create something valuable with all the talents, expertise and passions I had, to make it to good use for myself and society. Something that would be interesting enough for myself to get me through challenging moments. Something worth waking up for each day.
And then in the summer of 2019 I cut the cord with my former employer, the Italian embassy, and started my own coaching practice from scratch. As you can imagine, the first year was tough. I have had many setbacks to cope with, both personal and in business. And then also Covid hit… Well, you get the picture. It took me some months to recover from each and every challenge, to finally ‘stabilize’ by the end of 2020 into a situation that started to become rewarding. By then I had switched from offline to online, from curious ladies in disappointing careers to female entrepreneurs with an international spirit, from separate workshops to a year program of accountability, productivity and blossoming.
Coaching and consulting ambitious female entrepreneurs is a very rewarding profession. It’s amazing to work with talented ladies, that want to grow, that understand the value of coaching, that love to share their expertise and are eager to reach a healthy work-life balance, so that they can actually enjoy the fruits of their hard labor.
